Privacy Policy

Who we are

The Interactive CV is operated by Kerry Goodearl, trading as The Interactive CV, based in Kent, United Kingdom. You can contact us at [email protected].

Your CV data

The most important thing to understand about The Interactive CV is that your CV content never leaves your device. The entire CV generation process happens inside your browser using JavaScript. Your name, contact details, work history, education, skills, and any other information you enter into the builder is processed locally and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

When you close the browser tab, your data is gone. We have no access to your CV content whatsoever, and we do not retain any record of what you entered.

Payment data

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you complete a purchase, you are redirected to Stripe's secure checkout. We do not see, receive, or store your card number, CVV, or any other payment credentials.

Stripe may store your payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy, which you can read at stripe.com/gb/privacy. We receive only a confirmation that a payment was completed, along with a transaction reference.

Purchase records

We retain a minimal record of completed purchases for accounting and fraud prevention purposes. This record contains a Stripe transaction ID, the date and amount of the purchase, and a session identifier. It does not contain your CV content or your card details.

Cookies and analytics

We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are most useful. This data is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot identify individual visitors. We do not use advertising cookies or share data with third-party advertising networks.

Your rights under UK GDPR

As a UK resident, you have the right to request access to any personal data we hold about you, to request its deletion, and to object to its processing. Because we hold only minimal purchase records and no CV content, there is very little personal data to request.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms of Service

Acceptance of terms

By using The Interactive CV, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

The Interactive CV provides a browser-based tool that generates a self-contained HTML file representing a CV website. The service is provided on an "as is" basis. We make reasonable efforts to ensure it is available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Payment and refunds

The download is priced at £9.99 as a one-time payment. There is no subscription. Payment is taken via Stripe at the point of download.

Because the product is a digital download that is delivered immediately upon payment, we are not required to offer refunds under UK consumer law once the download has been initiated. However, if you experience a technical problem that prevents you from receiving your download, please contact us and we will resolve it promptly.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, contact us at [email protected] and we will consider your request on a case-by-case basis.

Licence and ownership

Upon purchase, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the downloaded HTML file for your own professional purposes. You may host it, share it with employers, and modify it as you see fit.

You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicence the HTML template itself as a product. The content of your CV (your name, experience, and so on) belongs entirely to you.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you include in your CV. The Interactive CV takes no responsibility for the content of CVs generated using the service. You must not use the service to create CVs containing false, misleading, or defamatory information.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, The Interactive CV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunity or damage to professional reputation. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
